Auli Snow Skiing TourDay 01: Rishikesh – Deoprayag
Start from Rishikesh to reach Deoprayag. Rishikesh was once a part of the ancient Kedarkhand (or the modern day Garhwal). It is the supposed home of Lord Shiva. River Ganga flows through the town and makes it pure. Today Rishikesh is known as the Yoga Capital and Adventure Sports Hub. The beautiful city has very little pollution and and is located close to the holy city of Haridwar. Rishikesh is famous both as a pilgrimage and as an adventure sports hub.

Day 02: Deoprayag – Chamoli- Joshimath
In the morning start for Deoprayag. This place is famous for being the confluence of Rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda.  

The next stop is at the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand which has the famous Nanda Devi national park. It stands majestically at an altitude of 7,817m above sea leveland marks the highest point in the state. After this, you will reach Joshimath by evening. Once you reach Joshimath, there are several comfortable hotels and guest houses where you can reside. Stay at a hotel and spend your night there.

Joshimath is the nearest place to Auli where doctors are available 24 hours a day. However, tourists are advised that they bring their own first-aid kit, which should contain some very essential items like the comfort balm, foot-powder and OTC medicines to take care of headaches, colds and sprains.

Auli Snow Skiing TourDay 03: Joshimath – Auli
This is the day when you can start for Auli situated at 26 km from Joshimath. Joshimath is the nearest town to Auli and has its own historic significance. It is home to one of the four centers of learning, or pithas established by Guru Adi Shankaracharya in India. There is a long ropeway (4.15 kilometers long) that connects Joshimath and Auli. This ropeway is also one of the longest ropeways in India.

On the way to Auli there are different food-outlets and restaurants available for you. During the travel, tourists are advised to carry there own woolen clothing, socks, dark glasses, cap, gloves, mufflers, pullovers, wind-proof jacket, gum/snow boots and a torch light in their travel kit. These accessories are a must for all tourists as the weather conditions of Auli experience quite unexpected and sudden changes

Day 04: Auli
There are interesting tourist attractions in and around Auli. Some of these are the Gurso Bugyal, Chattrakund, Saildhar Tapovan, Chenab Lake, Vanshinarayan Kalpeshwar, and Bhavishya Badri.

Auli Snow Skiing TourThere are many shopping centers located in Auli to be explored by you. During your shopping in Auli, you can buy woolen caps, blankets, souvenirs and shawls to take home. The tour to Auli is incomplete if you don’t stay at the tourist rest houses, bukhari warmed huts and resorts situated here. These places also offer recreational activities like folklore and the local music of Garhwal is played besides the bonfires.
